Baked Irish Oatmeal
Dessert for breakfast? Yes please!
Serves 2|Takes 25 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
2/3 cup Flahavan’s Irish Rolled Oats
2 cups Water
1 tsp Vanilla Bean Paste
1 tbsp Granulated Brown Sugar
METHOD:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In each ramekin add 1/3 cup of oats and 1 cup of water along with 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste. Stir to evenly combine.
Place filled ramekins on a sheet pan and bake for approximately 15 minutes or until oats are tender and fully cooked.
Remove cooked oatmeal ramekins from the oven and switch oven setting to broil.
While the oven settings are adjusting, sprinkle the top of oatmeal ramekin with raw sugar in one even layer.
Return oatmeal ramekins to the oven and broil until the sugar turns golden brown and forms a brulee crust. Remove and serve immediately.
Note: A brulee torch could also be used in place of an oven broiler.
