Carrot Cake Oatmeal
Carrots and porridge!? Yes it works - another great way to get your five a day!
Serves 4|Takes 10 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
1 & 1/3 cups of Flahavan’s Oats
3 cups of Whole Milk
2 medium carrots, peeled and finely grated
2 tbsp. of raisins
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon water
1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon
METHOD:
Prepare your oatneal as per the instructions on each Flahavan’s pack.
Put the topping ingredients in a small pot and bring to a simmer.
Cook gently for 4-5 minutes.
Serve hot or cold on top of your porridge.
Top Tip: This topping will keep in the fridge for several days!
